The Japanese youth Tetsuhira (played by Jun Odagiri), who aspires to travel around the world, encounters a stranded Pakistani man, Ali (played by Kavi Raz), in the desolate and scorching deserts of America. Years ago, Ali had sent his wife away, and upon learning that she might be living in Phoenix, he has traveled a long distance to seek her out. The two men from different countries journey together and meet a sensual young woman named Sarah (played by Chloe Snyder) at a local trailer park. Ali finds his wife, only to discover she is married to someone else, leaving him heartbroken and alone on his way back home. Tetsuhira falls in love with Sarah, but when faced with love and ideals, they must make difficult choices. Encounters, departures, three people from different races and countries ultimately return to their own life trajectories...
