Known as "The Old Nine Gates," the nine prominent families guarding Changsha are famous throughout the land. Among them, the leader, Zhang Dafoye Zhang Qishan (played by Chen Weiting), is tasked with investigating the mystery of the ghost car and the mysterious mine. He teams up with his partner Qi Tiezuo (played by Ying Haoming) to seek help from the renowned opera performer Er Yuehong (played by Zhang Yixing), who was born into an archaeological family. Unfortunately, Er Yuehong has already retired to care for his sick wife Yatou (played by Yuan Bingyan).
