This drama is adapted from the Secret History of Madu in Changsha. At the end of the Qin Dynasty and the beginning of the Han Dynasty, the Chu-Han Contention was tragic and heroic. General Li Cang, seriously injured in the war, inadvertently stumbled into Feng Town by the Yunmeng Ze. Li Cang's arrival changed the fate of several young men and women in the village. Young girl Xin Zhui saved the heavily injured and unconscious Li Cang, and was entrusted to him by her dying father, transforming her overnight into a general's wife; her neighbor, the young man Fu Shen, followed and protected Xin Zhui, becoming a chivalrous hero; the prostitute Nan Shi was favored by Liu Bang, subsequently succumbing to the pursuit of fame and fortune. Xin Zhui offered unparalleled wisdom to Li Cang, assisting her husband in obtaining military titles and nobility. However, the traps and temptations of the officialdom caused this seemingly illustrious couple to experience separations and reunions multiple times. Xin Zhui was originally a strong woman, but the one who saved her from the chaos of war, who witnessed the birth of her son, and who comforted her through illness and disappointment was not her husband, but Fu Shen! Fu Shen's infatuation left Xin Zhui confused and fearful; she chose to escape, transforming into the “One True Daoist”. She devised strategies for Liu Bang, clearing the palace and stabilizing the world, saving countless people from disaster, but unexpectedly incurred another romantic debt—Liu Bang was astonished by the solitary and exquisite "One True," convinced she was his one true love for life. Even upon discovering she was Li Cang's wife, his admiration remained unchanged, gifting her a plain gauze robe that elicited admiration throughout the ages. Fu Shen, Li Cang, Liu Bang... one by one, men fell under Xin Zhui's influence. Nan Shi burned with jealousy, vowing to one day put Xin Zhui beneath her feet. She used her own beauty to treat men as stepping stones to climb to the position of Lady of Changsha. She poisoned Li Cang on the battlefield; she trapped Xin Zhui's barely born son in an empty city; she sowed discord between Fu Shen and Xin Zhui, causing them to hurt each other in despair... The conspiracy was far from over. Nan Shi's resentment, the court's bloodshed, the brutality of war, and the treachery of the martial world forced Xin Zhui, a solitary woman, into a nightmarish storm of blood and violence...
