Young girl Lin (Kelly Chen) suffers from leukemia. Just when she is lost on the edge of life and death, she meets the mature and steady Scottish sailor Ad (Wang Mindan). After hearing Ad's stories about his hometown, A Corner of the World, Lin feels an inexplicable connection. However, Ad suddenly disappears, and in her despair, Lin encounters A Chong (Takeshi Kaneshiro), who specializes in finding lost items, and hires him to look for Ad. After A Chong's hard work, Lin and Ad meet again, as Ad is preparing to return to his hometown to settle down. After Ad leaves, Lin finds a sense of fulfillment and joy while working with A Chong.
