Mickey (played by Woody Harrelson) and Mallory (played by Juliette Lewis) come from similarly dysfunctional families, and the seeds of violence buried deep within them begin to sprout. Mallory, who suffers abuse from her father, decides to run away with Mickey, whom she barely knows, and kills her parents before doing so. Mickey tells Mallory that they will start a new life from now on. After their wedding, they embark on a crazed journey of escape and murder. Along the way, countless people fall victim to their hands. Morality and law have been completely eradicated by their beliefs. They kill frantically, love madly, and their hands are drenched in various people's blood. This bizarre event is sensationalized by television as a soap opera to entertain the public. While they become idols worshipped by teenagers, they also become prisoners. However, the prison is just a new killing ground for them. They ignite the violent desires of the inmates, leading to a climactic and explosive brawl.
