Unemployed uncle Domingo decides to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a football commentator, in an attempt to win back his wife who has left home. This film is the feature debut of Mexican director Raúl López Echeverría, based on his award-winning short film of the same name from 2015, inspired by his observations of the working-class community in the outskirts of Guadalajara and the profound impact of football on the community. The film tells a heartwarming story of a middle-aged man chasing his dreams with a moderately exaggerated comedic approach. The director does not deliberately depict the poor living conditions of the lower-class people but showcases their optimistic spirit in the face of adversity through passionate football commentary.
