Directed by Marco Tullio Giordana, "A Brilliant Life (2003)" is the director's new work, and it received the Special Award at the 2018 Italian Silver Ribbon Awards. The name of the woman is definitely not a sign of weakness. Single mother Lena, with her young daughter, finds a caregiving job at a prestigious private nursing home. Even when her boyfriend offers to support the family, she insists on being self-sufficient. Although the job seems ideal and she gets along well with her colleagues, hidden secrets lurk beneath: a pathological boss obsessed with uniform seduction uses staff to satisfy his desires under the protection of a priest... The director of "A Brilliant Life" (2003), Marco Tullio Giordana, conceived the story long before the "#MeToo" movement stirred up waves and its release now is timely. Lena seeks justice but faces backlash from her colleagues, who accuse her of slander, yet she refuses to be humiliated and decides to fight back.
