It tells the story of 1946, after Taiwan's restoration, at a dock in Hainan, where Lin Zhixiong, a Taiwanese laborer who was taken by the Japanese army to work in Hainan, finally boarded the "Anxiang" ship to return home with his pregnant wife, Aqing.
