As night falls over New York, it transforms into a city rampant with crime. Chinese-American police officer Billy Huang (played by Jackie Chan) and his colleagues go to a bar to celebrate their tenth anniversary in America. However, a group of robbers breaks in and kills his colleague. Out of anger, Billy exacts justice on the murderer, which angers his superior, leading to him being punished and assigned to maintain order at the fashion show of tycoon Shapiro. During the performance, Shapiro's daughter Rona is kidnapped by a group, and Shapiro's bodyguard Benny had previously made several calls to Hong Kong, indicating that Shapiro had collaborated with Hong Kong's top drug lord, Gao Weilu (played by Qiao Hong). A dispute between them may have led to the kidnapping. Billy and his partner Danny (played by Danny Aiello) travel to Hong Kong, where they find Gao Weilu's former partners Li Xing and He Tian's daughter He Meifang (played by叶倩文), hoping they can provide clues. Gao Weilu quickly sends people to hunt down Billy and Danny, as well as his former partners. Billy breaks through numerous obstacles to uncover Gao Weilu's hideout, leading his partner in a fierce assault against Gao...
