"Precious Secret" is adapted from Fan Yiping's novel "The Lying Village," produced by renowned filmmaker Tian Zhuangzhuang and directed by Wang Haoyi. It tells the story of a benevolent lie. In a secluded mountain village, rural teacher Wei Meixiu is seduced by projectionist Su Fang. During her childbirth, the entire village weaves a lie, leading the village youth and photographer Lan Baogui to marry her. The strong actor Zu Feng plays the photographer Lan Baogui, who, because of this lie, withdraws from Peking University, which he worked hard to get into, and spends the rest of his life in solitude in the mountains. "Precious Secret" is officially shortlisted for the main competition section of the 1st Macao International Film Festival
