In the late 1980s, the young Yokodao Seinosuke (played by Takanori Iwata), born in a seaside town, appears dazed on the streets of Tokyo. Just like his somewhat strange name, Seinosuke seems to naturally stand apart from the modern metropolis, but this inherently optimistic and straightforward big boy quickly adapts to his new life. In the bustling campus, he first meets Kuramochi (played by Sota Matsuda) and Aki Akutsu (played by Aki Asakura), then has a brief romance with the secretive Yusuke Kato (played by Masaki Suda), and embarks on a romantic relationship with the innocent rich girl Yoshino Sayaka (played by Yuriko Yoshitaka). He also seems to have had feelings for the worldly Chiharu (played by Ayako Ito). As the years go by, when these people occasionally pause and think of Seinosuke, who brought beautiful memories to their lives, what emotions will arise in their hearts? This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Shuichi Yoshida.
