The Shuangpailou Hutong, with its decades-long history, has witnessed generations of people's lives, including their daily struggles, aging, illness, and death. Time seems to stand still here, thick and slow. One day, news of housing renovation burst like a bomb, shattering the tranquility of Shuangpailou Hutong. People cheered, rushed to share the news, and eagerly anticipated a new life to come.
