This is the second installment of Beverly Hills Cop. Axel Foley (played by Eddie Murphy) returns to Detroit as a police detective after solving a case in the previous film, but he quickly finds himself bored back in Detroit. Therefore, Axel goes fishing every week with his good friend and partner, Chief Bogomil (played by Ronny Cox), whom he met while working in Los Angeles. However, this week, Bogomil unexpectedly cancels their fishing trip, and later, Axel learns that Bogomil is involved in a complex and dangerous case investigation. Unfortunately, Bogomil gets shot during the investigation and is now in the hospital. Known for his loyalty and hatred of evil, Axel can't sit idly by, so he immediately goes to Los Angeles to team up with his best partner, Billy (played by Judge Reinhold), to take revenge for his friend.
