The story begins in 1992 Hong Kong, where Zhou Xuri (played by Yuandao Dadi) meets Wang Ziyue (played by Tang Yi) during a stargazing event. Zhou Xuri is a wealthy young master who is about to be sent abroad for studies and even immigration by his father's arrangement, while Wang Ziyue grows up in a broken family, living a difficult life with her mother. Despite their vastly different backgrounds and life experiences, they see in each other the qualities they long for, and their young, sincere hearts quickly draw close together.
Eventually, Zhou Xuri’s father learns about this innocent romance, and as punishment, Zhou Xuri is sent to a boarding school where he must "serve time" for a whole year before being sent abroad. Fortunately, beyond the cold father, there are many kind-hearted people who are touched by the love between the two children and extend a helping hand.
