Judy (Jordana Beatty), Rocky (Garrett Ryan), and Amy (Taylar Hender) are childhood friends with a very close relationship. As summer vacation approaches, the three of them come together to make exciting plans for the break. However, when the time comes to execute their plans, both Amy and Rocky have changes in their itineraries—Amy is going to Borneo with her mother to explore an ancient tribe, while Rocky decides to join the circus to learn how to train lions. Looking at her two friends embarking on more thrilling adventures, Judy feels very lonely. To make matters worse, her parents suddenly have to go to California for work during the summer vacation. To take care of the young Judy, they bring in her aunt Opal (Heather Graham), whom Judy is not familiar with, to keep her company.
