Cheng Jiashao Cheng Yipeng (played by Fan Dongyu) is obsessed with martial arts. Cheng's father attempts to control him through marriage, so Cheng Yipeng decides to go to Shaolin as a secular disciple, allowing him to avoid his strong-willed fiancée Xiao Cui and learn Shaolin kung fu. After bidding farewell to his beloved Xiao Qing (played by He Qing), Yipeng heads to Shaolin.
