During Christmas 2009, the G8 summit will be held in Rome, Italy. In preparation for the arrival of Foreign Minister Kawai Wataru (played by Hirata Mitsu), the Japanese embassy is in a flurry. Meanwhile, the unconventional and sharp-witted diplomat Kuroda Kosuke (played by Oda Yuji) is also dispatched to Rome to handle security and reception duties. On the other hand, single mother Yasaka Saeko (played by Amami Yuki) revisits Italy with her daughter Maureen, only for her daughter to be kidnapped by criminals. During this time, Kuroda and embassy intern Ando Kanae (played by Toda Erika) assist Saeko in translating and searching for clues. To avoid raising the criminals' suspicions, Kuroda claims to be Maureen's father and gets personally involved in the kidnapping case. As the G8 summit approaches, this seemingly ordinary kidnapping case begins to stir up significant turmoil… This film is a commemoration work for Fuji TV's 50th anniversary.
