"The Story of the Police Station" tells the stories within an ordinary community police station. Although the narrative has shifted from the cooking class to the police station, the personalities of the six protagonists have not undergone substantial changes; each just has one more special skill. Director Hong Jian Tao plays Director Hong, who seems unassuming but is very good at "uniting" the community; Officer Fan, played by Fan Ming, is eager to become the director; he is a negotiation expert and quite talkative, somewhat reminiscent of Tang Seng from "A Chinese Odyssey," able to annoy criminals to death. Mao Hai is an anti-theft expert nicknamed "No Lungs," skilled in long-distance pursuits, and very few thieves can outrun him, although his flaw is that he sometimes gets carried away and runs too fast, losing track of the thief. Officer Jiang, played by Jiang Chao, has a super accurate sixth sense when it rains; he can serve as a radar when catching criminals. Sha Yi, a graduate of the Police Academy, is obsessed with new technology. Zhou Xiaobin plays an old police officer who retired from the Navy's cooking team; local delinquents are afraid of him, but he struggles to manage his internet-addicted son. "The Story of the Police Station" will not follow the filming model of a situational comedy and will step out of the studio, as the material for the police station stories is more diverse. "The Story of the Police Station" may consider adopting the American television model of airing by "season." The screenwriter of "The Story" is Xu Jundong, who also wrote "The Cooking Class Story." A newcomer with a background as a medical doctor, he possesses a strong ability for adapting unfamiliar stories and comedy processing. "The Story of the Police Station" is a standard drama with a mainstream theme and a light comedy style, directed personally by Hong Jian Tao, the "class leader" from "The Cooking Class Story." This drama does not focus on major cases or crime; rather, it reflects the role of police in serving the public through the trivial lives of community residents.
