The girl Blanca steals and begs while sleeping rough on the streets; home is just a fantasy for her. When she sees a news story about adoption on TV, she has a sudden idea to buy a mom. So she works hard to save money and seeks help from Old Pi, a blind street guitarist. She becomes Old Pi's eyes, and together they leave the slums to hustle in the big city.
