Lionel (Edward Norton) has a very tragic past; his mother passed away when he was very young. Orphaned, Lionel was sent to an orphanage. Fortunately, he met a man named Frank (Bruce Willis) there, who provided protection and assistance to Lionel throughout his years at the orphanage. After leaving the orphanage, Frank established a private detective agency, where Lionel worked. One day, Frank went to deliver a very dangerous and mysterious document, but this task cost him his life. Frank's death was a huge blow to Lionel, but now is not the time for mourning. Lionel decides to uncover the truth behind this death and seek justice for his old friend.
