This is a highly stylized work, featuring a young Welsh knight who arrives at a mysterious ancient castle, where he encounters an illusion of the Holy Grail, but he is not aware of it; the following morning, the castle is deserted, and the knight continues his journey. When he suddenly realizes that he has seen the Holy Grail and returns, the castle has vanished, leaving him to continue his quest for the Grail. The film is entirely shot in a studio, with intentionally "fake" sets, and it features repetitive dialogue and actions, lending it a somewhat artistic effect.
