Jane (Dree Hemingway) is a twenty-one-year-old young woman who dreams of becoming an actress. She arrives in the San Fernando Valley in California. However, becoming an actress is not as simple as it seems. Before long, Jane finds herself, like most girls who come here to chase their dreams, anonymous and broke. Most of the friends in Jane's social circle are unreliable, and the most trustworthy one happens to be her Chihuahua named Scarlett. At a flea market held at the home of the elderly Sandy (Besedka Johnson), Jane accidentally discovers an antique stuffed with a large bundle of cash. This substantial fortune catches the broke Jane's attention, leading her to start getting close to Sandy. Unexpectedly, this move completely changes Jane's life.
