By chance, Edhit (Shahid Kapoor) meets a woman named Geet (Kareena Kapoor) on a train. Through their conversation, Edhit learns that Geet has a long-time boyfriend, Anshuman (Tarun Arora), so he helps Geet elope to be with Anshuman, while he returns home to take on the heavy burden of the family business. As time passes, Edhit never forgets the brave and strong Geet. Until Geet's family finds Edhit, he doesn't realize that Geet is unable to be with Anshuman. When he goes to find Anshuman, he discovers that the man is a heartless jerk who avoids Geet. With nowhere to go, Geet can only temporarily stay at a monastery. Edhit finds Geet and persuades her to return to her family, but just as Geet agrees, Anshuman suddenly changes his attitude and appears before her.
