This film is based on a true story. In mid-19th century Argentina, a young Catholic believer, Camila, falls in love with a Protestant priest. Although both try desperately to suppress their feelings and fall into anguish, Camila ultimately takes the brave first step and experiences a brief moment of happiness. However, their union violates family and church regulations, leading to persecution by the authorities. After fleeing for hundreds of miles, they are unfortunately captured and executed.
