Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), a young British man who has just entered the workforce, defies his family's opposition and passionately dedicates himself to the film industry he loves, hoping to make a name for himself. His first chance on a film set is as the third assistant director for the new film "The Prince and the Showgirl," directed by and starring his idol, Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh). The film features the globally famous American actress Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams), and Colin's job is to manage various tasks within the crew. Once filming begins, intense conflicts arise between Monroe and Olivier due to their differing acting methods, causing significant delays in production. Colin is responsible for mediating in the midst of this, and he begins to have frequent contact with Monroe. Unbeknownst to him, Colin finds himself deeply attracted to Monroe's charm... Michelle Williams won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for her performance in this film.
