The story takes place in Kobe, near the sea, where at the top of a slope stands an old Western-style building. Inside lives the quirky dressmaker Michie (played by Miki Nakatani). Michie runs a tailoring shop inherited from her grandmother, who upheld the philosophy of "making clothes that can be worn for a lifetime." Every stitch embodies the maker's dedication and soul. Michie meticulously follows her grandmother's path, keen on resizing garments passed down through generations while refusing to commercialize her craft. Fujii (played by Takahiro Miura), an employee from a local department store, frequently visits, hoping Michie will permit her clothes to enter the market. Perhaps out of respect for her grandmother, perhaps out of a devotion to her craft, or perhaps due to a vague inner unease, Michie struggles to take this important step... This film is adapted from the original work by Aoi Ikebe.
