Professional killer Tang (played by Louis Koo) was arrested for murder and spent a long twelve years in prison. After being released, Tang secretly resolved to cut ties with his past and be a good person for the rest of his life. However, his former friends Chen Xiong (played by Sammo Hung) and Max (played by Chris Lee) are not willing to let him go; they hope Tang will return to the field and assassinate the presidential candidate from the Philippines. Tang firmly rejects the unreasonable request from his friends, but soon after, the candidate is murdered. Furthermore, evidence left at the scene implicates Tang as the killer, prompting a police manhunt for him. With the help of female reporter Annie (played by Ada Choi), Tang embarks on a breathtaking escape, while also taking on the responsibility of uncovering the true murderer and exposing Chen Xiong's crimes. Can Tang clear his name and rid himself of the unjust accusations?
