Novelist Daniel (played by Oscar Martínez) has had a smooth-sailing career since his debut and has now been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, reaching the pinnacle of his profession. However, this honor has not brought him satisfaction; on the contrary, Daniel worries that fame and fortune will steal his inspiration and brilliance in literary creation. Five years pass in the blink of an eye, and Daniel's popularity remains undiminished, with constant invitations and awards. However, the aloof and reclusive Daniel only has his assistant refuse them one by one. A letter from the small town of Salas catches Daniel's attention. Salas is his long-lost hometown, which now invites him to return and accept the "Outstanding Citizen" award. Without informing the media and friends, Daniel sets off on his journey home, where he reunites with his former lover, Erin (played by Andrea Frigerio). Now, Erin is already married, and her husband is Daniel's old friend Antonio (played by Dady Brieva).
