Leslie is a single mother from West Texas who, after winning the lottery and having a chance to live a better life, struggles to support her son. But just a few years later, the money is gone, and Leslie is left alone living a hard and fast life while trying to escape the shattered world she left behind. With her charm depleted and nowhere to go, Leslie returns home. Sweeney is a lonely motel clerk who is both unwelcome and disliked by the people she wronged, and she takes risks when no one else will support her. With his help, Leslie confronts the consequences of her actions, a life filled with regrets, and a second chance to create a better life for herself and her son. Throughout the film, Leslie strives to get sober with the help of friends, repair her family relationships, and start her own business. This film is based on the semi-autobiographical experiences of writer Ryan Binaco.
