Unable to bear her loneliness, Qiao Yun takes advantage of a chance encounter during a prayer to illicitly meet with the temple master Pei Ruhai (played by Tan Qiao). This affair is discovered by Shi Xiu, who resolves to expose the hypocritical deceiver. Yang Xiong finds that there are suspicions of mercenary dealings in the prison, and upon investigation, it turns out that the person behind it is his father-in-law Pan Gong (played by Liu Yong). Shi Xiu advises his brother to hold back for now and deal with their own domestic issues first. When Yang Xiong hears of his wife's infidelity, he confronts her, but Qiao Yun retaliates by casting blame on Shi Xiu, leading to a falling out between the brothers. In order to clear his name, Shi Xiu decides to catch them in the act... This film is adapted from the story of "Water Margin."
