Kathryn Waterston joins the biopic [Roald Amundsen]. Directed by Espen Sandberg ([Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales]). The film focuses on the Antarctic exploration achievements of Norwegian explorer "the first man in the polar region," Roald Amundsen (played by Pål Sverre Hagen), with Waterston portraying his lover. The film will be shot in Iceland, the Czech Republic, and Norway, with pre-sales at the Cannes Film Festival. SF Studios is responsible for distribution in the Nordics, with a release next year.
