Little reindeer Niko (voiced by Erik Carlson) has a father who is a member of Santa's team, but due to being away for long periods, his relationship with his mother has grown increasingly cold, leading to separation. Niko volunteers to join the Christmas team and begins training under his father's guidance. Although he hopes his parents can reconcile, things take a turn when his mother starts dating a new boyfriend, Rani (voiced by Riku Nieminen), who also brings Niko a little brother, Johnny (voiced by Juhana Vaittinen).
