In the Cabon Valley after the Civil War, a group of impoverished miners seeks gold, toiling through grueling labor every day. The company owner and the local military commander conspire against them, frequently harassing and oppressing the miners. Just as they are about to reach their breaking point and find life unbearable, a mysterious figure arrives in the valley. Little is known about his past and name, so people nickname him "The Preacher." "The Preacher" acts with justice, becoming a glimmer of hope in the miners’ suffering lives.
