A small employee at an advertising company, Ota Kiichiro (played by Sōta Matsumoto), is full of enthusiasm but suffers setbacks in both his workplace and daily interpersonal relationships. His boss, Otaki Ichiro (played by Etsushi Toyokawa), is selfish and evasive, making Ota feel constantly manipulated. One day, as Otaki is about to attend the Santa Monica Advertising Festival as a judge, he faces a tricky problem: a certain client demands that their dull advertisement must win an award in the advertising world. To evade the crisis, Otaki trick Ota into going overseas to be a judge in his place. The naive Ota first learns judging techniques from Mr. Mira in the materials room (played by Lily Franky), then asks his elite female colleague, Ak光 (played by Keiko Kitagawa), to pretend to be his wife and accompany him. Overseas, they not only encounter a formidable opponent, Kizawa Haruka (played by Kyouka Suzuki), but also have to deal with the judges' strange little tricks. Will the overly dull and straightforward Ota successfully complete this impossible task?
