In the mid-16th century, after inheriting the throne of his father Sayid Khan, Prince Abdureshit Khan of the Yarkand Khanate in Xinjiang, China quelled the wars, unified the Khanate, and allowed the people to recuperate and thrive. As a result, the economy and culture of the Khanate experienced unprecedented development and prosperity. Folk artist Ma Hemti lived with his daughter Amanisa Khan and formed a close bond with the expelled musician Umer. During their years of living together, Amanisa Khan learned poetry and music theory from Umer. Years later, the exceptionally talented Amanisa Khan became proficient in poetry and rhythm while also blossoming into a stunning beauty. One day, the Khan traveled incognito and unexpectedly encountered Amanisa Khan. He was captivated by her beauty, singing, and extensive knowledge of poetry, and despite the objections from the queen and the right minister, he resolutely brought Amanisa Khan into the palace. In the palace, Amanisa Khan faced various discriminations and plots from conservative feudal forces, the scheming right minister, and the queen, enduring severe hardships. However, Amanisa Khan did not lose heart; with unwavering faith and the help of her teacher Umer, she managed to collect, organize, and compile the scattered folk maqam melodies into a complete work, creating the twelve maqam suites, which made maqam music an immortal chapter and greatly contributed to the classical music of the Uyghur people. However, Umer was tragically harmed by Ishan and the right minister. During the Khan's campaign against the rebellion, Amanisa Khan fell into deep sorrow and ultimately passed away. Nevertheless, the twelve maqam suites, which hold artistic and documentary value, were beloved by the people and have been passed down through generations, leading Amanisa Khan to become a legendary figure praised by all.
