Tonight, tranquility envelops the forest surrounding the village. As people fall asleep, the forest awakens. Young Ihjãc, living among the Krahô in northern Brazil, has been plagued by nightmares since his father's death. He walks in the dark, drenched in sweat, every step taken cautiously. Suddenly, a song echoes from afar, weaving through the palm trees. It is his deceased father calling him. To help his father's soul find peace and journey to the land of the dead, he must organize a funeral ceremony. However, Ihjãc refuses to fulfill his duty and backs away from becoming a shaman. He decides to escape to the city, distancing himself from his people and culture. But as an indigenous person living in Brazil, he must confront harsh realities.
