Although he lost the care and love of his mother at a young age, Tom (Louis Hofmann) grew up to be a lively and clever boy. Mischievous and uninterested in school, he often sneaks out, getting into a series of troubles. Huck (Leon Seidel), Tom's friend, accidentally finds themselves in a graveyard where they witness a murder. Terrified of revenge from the killer, Tom and Huck decide to go on the run and end up on a deserted island, where they begin a relaxing life.
