In Hong Kong's Causeway Bay, a bustling and chaotic scene unfolds, home to two major factions, Hung Hing and East Star, engaged in a fierce struggle for power. The leader of Hung Hing, Hung Sheng (played by Gu Feng), is brave and astute, well-respected by his followers, but he has a strained relationship with his son, Hung Fei (played by Tony Leung). Hung Fei has distanced himself from the underworld, leading a solitary and carefree life. Hung Hing’s thug, Xiao Chun (played by Chan Siu-Chung), accidentally encounters East Star's leader's son, Ah Bao, and key figure, Junk, and just when they find themselves in peril, Hung Fei comes to their rescue. Xiao Chun is in awe of him and introduces his sister, Xiao Tong (played by Li Ruotong), to Hung Fei. As a journalist, Xiao Tong has long admired the heroes from Jin Yong's novels and harbors romantic feelings about the underworld, which leads to growing affection between her and Hung Fei. As Hung Sheng ages and plans to retire from the criminal life, he is disturbed by East Star on the night of his retirement ceremony, causing him to fall ill. At Xiao Tong's urging, Hung Fei reconciles with his father. Meanwhile, tensions between Hung Hing and East Star escalate, leading to an impending storm in the underworld...
