The story takes place in ancient China. Hua Zhenfang (played by Ma Fengliang) announces a competition for suitors. Whoever defeats his daughter Hua Bilian (played by Li Lin) will be granted her hand in marriage. Various heroes attempt to challenge her but are all defeated by Hua.
