Arranged by her parents, Yoko (played by Eri Murakawa) marries a young man named Amamiya (played by Kento Yamazaki), bidding farewell to her youth and entering the ranks of housewives. However, Yoko has no feelings for Amamiya; to her, her husband is just a stranger living under the same roof. Despite this, Yoko becomes involved physically with Amamiya and gets pregnant with his child. Ten months later, Yoko becomes a mother. Later, due to changes at work, the Amamiya family moves to Kyoto. By chance, Yoko meets Amamiya's boss, Ochi (played by Masanobu Ando).
