Teenage Faruk and his friends make a living by working for the mafia, until he meets middle-class girl Mona, sparking a romantic love story of adolescence. The film hovers between a thriller and a fairy tale, intertwining grim reality with enchanting dreams, and features painterly lighting and soothing piano melodies that highlight the confusion and sorrow of youth. Bosnian director Igor Drljaca uses a romantic love story as a shell to depict the social atmosphere of post-war Sarajevo and the living conditions of different classes. The film was nominated for the 2021 Berlin Film Festival's Generation Competition.
