Bernstein (Jon Hamm) is a sports agent whose career faces numerous setbacks in this highly competitive industry. Ultimately, Bernstein decides to team up with scout Ray (Alan Arkin) and travel to India, viewing it as their last chance for success.
In India, the two devise a reality show called "Million Dollar Arm," aimed at discovering talented pitchers among everyday people, and they eventually recruit two talented youths, Dinesh (Madhur Mittal) and Rinku (Suraj Sharma). Afterward, Bernstein brings the two back to the United States, immersing them in a rigorous and high-pressure training regimen. However, the unfamiliar cultural landscape and demanding training prove challenging for the two boys, who struggle to perform at their true potential. Nevertheless, Bernstein does not give up, as he has no other options.
