Daphne (Emmanuelle Seigner) has just published her debut work and unexpectedly gained overnight fame, followed by a flurry of interviews and signings. As the joy of fame gradually cools down, Daphne begins to prepare her next work, but she feels suffocated as inspiration seems to have abandoned her, staring at a blank document without being able to type the first word. Francis (Vincent Perez) is a TV host, and their ambiguous relationship becomes another source of pressure for Daphne. At this critical moment of despair, a mysterious woman named Elly (Eva Green) appears in her life. Elly claims to be a biographical ghostwriter and hopes to stay at Daphne's home due to issues at her own place.
