On his wedding night, Gao Peng (Liu Jiang) from Gaojia Village is attacked by his enemy Bai Zhongtang. Gao Peng escapes to the home of Master Chen and learns of the unmatched martial arts skills of Zhang San (Wei Bai), a man of righteousness, who can avenge the Gao family. Gao Peng secretly observes Zhang San, noting his contentment with a simple life and his strong devotion to his mother, and decides to approach him, sending the assassin An Ruming to test his abilities.
