In the late Warring States period, the country was besieged by war, and the suffering of the people went unnoticed. Prince Ying Zheng of the Qin state was raised as a hostage in Zhao, where a kind-hearted woman from Yan nurtured him alongside her son, Gao Jianli. After King Xiang's death, Ying Zheng rushed back to Qin with the envoys to ascend the throne, while his two friends were separated forever.
