This film is a large musical that reflects the experiences of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army under the guidance of Comrade Mao Zedong, as they undertook the 25,000-mile Long March and successfully reached northern Shaanxi. The film consists of ten parts: "Farewell," "Breaking the Blockade," "The Glorious Zunyi Conference," "The Four Crossings of the Chishui River," "Flying Over the Dadu River," "Crossing Snowy Mountains and Grasslands," "Arriving at Wuqi Town," "Celebration," "Good News," and "The Great Reunion." ============================================================================ Time flies, leaving traces through the years. In a corner of your heart, might there be some indelible treasures? It could be a feeling, a longing, or a melody... In that era that revered heroes and was full of passion, a series of outstanding artistic works such as "Sister Jiang," "The Honghu Red Guards," "The Long March Song Suite," "The East Is Red," and "The Yellow River Cantata" conquered countless hearts with their earth-shattering and soul-stirring spirit. The "Long March Song Suite" was created and performed by the Beijing Comrades Song and Dance Troupe. It is a vocal suite set to music by Chen Geng, Sheng Mao, Tang He, and Yu Qiu based on the group of poems written by Xiao Hua. Tang Jiang served as the conductor, with famous singers such as Ma Yutao, Jia Shijun, Ma Guoguang, and Geng Lianfeng performing. The Red Army's 25,000-mile Long March is a great historical event that shocked the world. As a participant in the Long March, Xiao Hua felt it deeply. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, he wrote, despite being ill, over the course of more than six months, completing twelve long-gestated poems. These poems are vivid, sincere, metrically rigorous, and rhythmically striking, making them popular. The composer selected ten of them to create the song suite, seamlessly linking ten different battle life scenes, harmoniously blending regional folk melodies with the tunes of Red Army traditional songs, and skillfully weaving together accessible musical language with rich musical concepts. The suite vividly depicts the grand scenes of the Great Long March, showcases the heroic character of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, and shapes the glorious image of the revolutionary army, making the song suite a large vocal work with a clear theme, rich content, novel form, and unique style.
