In the winter of 1940, Chinese orphans Chu Chu (Guo Keyu) and Luo Xiaoman (Xu Xiaoli) were sent to the Ivanovo International Children's Home near Moscow for their studies. In class, when Chu Chu recounted witnessing her father's brutal murder by fascist executioners, both the teacher and classmates were deeply shocked.
