In Ukraine, single mother Olga (played by Ekateryna Rak) is dissatisfied with her low-paying job at a hospital and goes to Austria seeking better life opportunities. She becomes a pornographic video actress, works as a nanny for wealthy families, and has also worked for a cleaning company, facing numerous challenges and struggles along the way. Olga works as a cleaner in a hospital where the patients are mostly elderly people. Both the elderly at the end of their lives and Olga, who is on the brink of survival, are lonely and desperate. Meanwhile, Austrian young man Paul (played by Paul Hofmann) is living a tough life at home; he breaks up with his girlfriend over a dog and is pursued for debts. Paul is broke, beaten, and mocked. Desperate, he goes to Ukraine. In a dim motel room, Paul watches his stepfather amusing himself with a prostitute, showing no interest himself, only thinking about money... Two young individuals from Ukraine and Austria travel to each other's countries but struggle to escape the constraints of survival.
