Luther (Clint Eastwood) is a highly skilled thief who, after meticulous planning, sets his sights on the mansion of billionaire Walter Sullivan (E.G. Marshall). While the Sullivans are on vacation, Luther breaks into the mansion, confident and ready for a big score. However, through a one-way mirror, he witnesses a passionate encounter between Walter's wife, Kristi (Melora Hardin), and a man who is none other than the current president, Alan (Gene Hackman).
