The film is based on a famous legendary true event in sports history, telling the story of how the Soviet basketball team defeated the United States team, which had maintained an unbeaten record for 36 years, in the finals of the 1972 Munich Olympics. With just three seconds left in the final, the USA team was leading by one point. The USA team had already begun to celebrate their victory, believing the outcome was sealed. However, an unknown basketball coach from the Soviet Union, leading a national team burdened by hardship and poverty, turned the game around, changing the course of basketball history.
